We are going to address the 3 Biggest Challenges that get in the way of business owners understanding their financials, from making profit and paying themselves the salary they deserve:
1 You don’t know where to start when it comes to increasing profit in your business
2 The belief that you “are not a numbers person” when it comes to understanding your business financials
3 Currently you’re “doing sort of OK” and maybe you’re actually like other business owners who feel like they are “winging it” most of the time when it comes to understanding their financials?
First, let’s start with “don’t know where to start” or “not sure where to start” and let’s flip that around to “Having a Clear Plan”
1 We’ll start with a Current State Assessment – so that you know exactly where you are starting from. A simple checklist that will help us work through what’s currently and already in place in your business finances, how much you currently understand and identify where the gaps are. The truth is, most clients find they are better off than they imagine they are. That’s the power of a current state assessment.
2 Next, we’ll put together your Map to Navigate and address the areas where there are gaps – in understanding, in knowledge and certainly the gaps in paying yourself and in making profit.
3 Then we’ll establish an Operating Rhythm to create the habits and the beliefs that will set you up to successfully know and understand how money works in your business. Micro habits that become healthy financial habits. This leads to increased profitability and ultimately paying yourself what you are worth.
The result …? You’ll start to have the “peace of mind” that comes with understanding your financial situation. You’ll see more profit and you’ll see how you can start paying yourself what you are worth.
Second, we’ll take care of “I’m not a numbers person” and flip that around to “Confident with Numbers”
4 We’ll start with a few of the Critical Numbers – the absolute basics. What are the critical numbers for every business? Which apply specifically to your industry? Why are they important? Where do you find them? What do you do with them? What do they tell you? Absolute basics AND Just a few.
5 We’ll look at the Software and Tools – what’s available? What do you need? What does what? What does your bookkeeper do? What does your accountant do? How much do you need to be involved? Again, we keep it to the basics, keeping it simple & easy for you to understand.
6 Then, we’ll look at the Expenses Summary. What do you spend money on in your business? How much does it cost to run your business every year? Every month? Every week? This is a powerful exercise that brings clarity to your current business financial situation.
The result … ? You’ll start to feel “like a numbers person” and you’ll feel empowered with the knowledge and understanding you are building. You’ll see where profit can be increased and where you can pay yourself more, pay yourself what you are worth.
Third, we’ll tackle the idea that “I think I’m doing OK” when the truth behind it might be that on some days you feel like you are “Winging it” and we’ll build you into a “Powerful Business Owner”
7 We’ll analyse your Revenue and Sales – Revenue is a measure of the performance of your business. When you analyse your revenue you understand how your business is performing. If you want to change the way your business performs, change the amount of revenue the business generates. We’ll work through the 3 proven ways to increase revenue in every business and figure out which will work best in your business AND at the same time increase profitability. We want profitable revenue!
8 The next step is to Stabilise your Profit – then start increasing it! How much profit you want to make is your decision; your Profit is determined by you. Using the Revenue and the Expenses Summary to calculate your profit, you’ll develop a strategy to transform your business through profit stability. Once you stabilise your profit – next step is to identify ways to increase your profit. When you have more money in your business you can pay yourself what you are worth.
9 The lifeblood of every business is Cashflow and you will learn a simple technique to ensure your business never runs out of cash.
The Result …? You will be able to pay yourself more. You will have stabilised profit leading to increasing profitability AND you have a technique for never running out of cash in your business.
That’s how you build knowledge and understanding of how money works in your business so that you can pay yourself more through increasing profits.

This Accelerator program is completely unique and is a combination of:
- Small group based program – with a limited number of like-minded businesses owners who are facing similar challenges regarding their business financials.
- 6 x weekly online and Live 75 minute training sessions on Zoom. Not pre-recorded – these are LIVE sessions every week where you will learn the basics, the fundamentals and you can ask questions as we go. Plus you receive the recordings so you can go back and listen in again where you need to.
- 3 Personal 1:1 sessions with me: The Initial Current State Assessment plus 2 x 1:1 sessions to Deep Dive into your individual questions about your business finances on Zoom. You’ll receive these recordings. I totally understand that while some questions will be perfectly safe in a group setting, there are definitely aspects of the money side of your business that you will want to keep private and just between just you and me – that’s why the 1:1 sessions.
- Worksheets and templates to help you calculate Expenses summary, Profit and Cashflow. Super simple excel worksheets.
- Monthly “ask me anything” calls for 2 months after the 6 weeks are completed. We have found in previous groups that these follow up sessions are invaluable for accountability and continuity.
This is a unique combination of both live teaching with me in small group sessions + separate 1:1 time with me.
